Parks and Rec Spring Egg Hunt

Celebrate the coming of Spring with an Egg Hunt! Seattle Parks and Recreation is offering a variety of free spring egg hunts at community center sites across Seattle. Don't forget to bring a basket or bag. The hunt will take place rain or shine starting right at 10 a.m. Please arrive by 9:45 a.m. Ages 2-12!

The Eggs Have Gone Incognito

Think you know Montlake like the back of your hand? We’re putting your knowledge to the test.

Starting April 5th at 8am, we’re hiding 18 special eggs throughout the neighborhood. But here’s the catch: you won’t find them without cracking our Montlake trivia clues.

First person to find all eggs will win a prize. Study your surroundings and check out this page for clues!

Save the Date: Gateway Parks Work Party

Date: Sunday, April 12 | 10am-1pm
Location: East Gateway Park

Come join neighbors at the West Gateway Park for a fun-filled time pulling ivy and cleaning up debris! It doesn’t get any better than battling English Ivy! If you have tools and gloves please bring them.  If not, we have extras.

Community Conversation & Meeting

When: April 25th | 1-2:30pm

Where: Montlake Community Center Multipurpose Room

Join us for a community conversation with Senator Pedersen and other local representatives around the redevelopment of the Montlake Market Site (now called “Montlake Homes”). Urban Survival Skills Fair

Want to learn how to prepare and protect your household during severe weather, extended power outages and earthquakes? We will be hosting an Urban Survival Skills Fair on April 25th!

This event is hosted by the Montlake Community Center in partnership with the Montlake Emergency Hub and Roanoke Park Hub. Join us to learn additional skills needed during an emergency to know what you can do to be ready BEFORE disaster strikes.

Photo Exhibit @ Cafe Lago

Cafe Lago is honored to host a curated exhibition of photographs by Annie Marie Musselman on view in our bar area.

Annie is a Seattle-based photographer whose long-form documentary projects center on themes of care, kinship, and ecological interdependence. Her nuanced, artistic images documenting wildlife rehabilitation and sanctuary explore the intimate emotional terrain between humans and non-human animals. She began using photography to communicate the sense of trust and presence she has seen in animals after she rescued an injured raven—an experience that changed her understanding of connections across species. She believes that recognizing our kinship with animals has the power to transform our lives, our society and the planet. 

Grit & Glory Formula Q and A

Join us April 23rd from 4–5pm at Oxbow Bakery for a Q&A with photographer Steve Beaudry. We'll dive into how a young photographer, a VW camper, and 1960s European racetracks came together to capture Formula 1's golden era.

Story Times @ Montlake Library

Join us for Family Story Time every other Monday at 10:30am through May: April 6th, April 20th, May 4th, and May 18th. This story time is geared for kids 0-5 and their caregivers. We read stories, sing songs, and have engaging, educational activities that help kids and their caregivers grow together. Can't wait to see you there!

Arboretum Plant Sale

When: April 26 | 10am-2pm

Where: Graham Visitors Center

This year, we’ll be celebrating Earth Day during our annual Arboretum Spring Plant Sale, which takes place during Earth Week 2026.

Add new life and beauty to your home by buying trees, shrubs, and perennials at our volunteer-run Cloney-Harris Plant Nursery and Pat Calvert Greenhouse, located next to the Graham Visitors Center.

The sale will feature live music, horticultural demonstrations, environmental education activities, and a community tabling event. We’re adding in some new activities this year, such as free gardening skill demos, and a mushroom kit building presentation by the Puget Sound Mycological Society. We’ll also showcase a fun selection of gardening and nature-themed items from the Arboretum Gift Shop. Check out more info here.

Mother’s Day HiiT Workout

Did you know there is a workout studio in Montlake? We are hosting a special HiiT workout for moms on Saturday May 9th at 9:30am. We will open up a second class at 10:30am if the first one fills up. It will be 8 people per class, $30 per person. Signup info coming soon.
