Hi Montlake!

Summer is finally here! In addition to enjoying the sunshine, we hope you’re enjoying our new beautiful website, www.montlake.net! With the website we are shifting to a monthly newsletter to save your inboxes and keep all things Montlake for the month in one mail. You’ll want to look out for this mail monthly to keep up to date with neighborhood happenings. If you lose the mail, don’t worry- you can always checkout the website for the latest content.

Do you have something to share for next month? Do you want to add an event to the calendar? Let us know at any time by submitting here. Content submitted before the last Wednesday of the month will be included in the mail for the upcoming month, sent on the first Sunday.

MCC Leadership Election

As a resident if Montlake, you’re automatically a member of the Montlake Community Club (MCC). Members can vote for MCC officers and trustees which are elected annually for either two or one year terms. It’s time to vote! Visit https://bit.ly/MontlakeVotes to learn more about candidates and submit your vote before July 22.

Montlake Rezoning Task Force Update

The MRTF, currently comprised of 10 professional Montlake residents, has been hard at work, since December 2024 and has an update available on the website. Click here to learn more about their progress and about what actions you can take as a member of the community.

Seattle Night Out- August 5th

Get ready for a fun evening of block parties to get to know others in the neighborhood. Currently, there are three block parties registered on the public map in Montlake. Registration closes on July 27th!

Montlake Architecture Walking Tour on August 23rd

Back by popular demand, neighbor Lyle Bicknell will host a Montlake Architecture Walking Tour on 8/23 at 10am.

It’s a treat to learn more about the history and styles of homes over the 90 minute tour. You’ll be blown away by how much there is to learn. Last year both tours sold out very quickly so be sure to secure your spot! Register here.

Montlake Yard Sale -

The 11th Annual Montlake Yard Sale will happen on September 7th from 10am-2pm. More details will be available soon at www.montlake.net/yard-sale. Do you want to be included on the map or volunteer?

Emergency Hub Call for Volunteers

Montlake is working to establish an emergency preparedness hub, similar to other neighborhoods which will provide information and resources in the event of a natural disaster. The team is looking for volunteers to help lead the effort and establish a hub for Montlake. If you’re interested, please email info@montlake.net.

Montlake Community Center has AMAZING Summer Activity Camps and there are still spots available. Camps include Around the World Art, Clay/Pottery, Mad Science, Robotics, Cartooning, Tennis, Nature, Basketball, Kids Carpentry, Soccer, Shakespear, Stage Combat, and Adventure/Gaming Camps.
