Portage Bay Bridge Project

Project Overview from WSDOT Website

While the Montlake Project is wrapping up, WSDOT and Skanska are moving forward with the Portage Bay Bridge and Roanoke Lid Project, which will replace the aging Portage Bay Bridge with a seismically resilient structure that includes improved bus/carpool travel and an extension of the SR520 Trail. This project also builds a landscaped lid between Seattle’s Roanoke Park and North Capitol Hill neighborhoods.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2031.
