Volunteering is a great way to meet your neighbors, have fun, and use and build your skills. No matter what your background, there is a volunteer position for you at the Montlake Community Club.

The Montlake Community Club is recruiting volunteers for the roles listed below.

  • Webmaster: Ensure website is up to date. Manage content and services.

    Social Media and Outreach: Develop communications strategy and coordinate outreach efforts for the club.

  • This is our neighborhood-wide yard sale which takes place annually in September. Visit here for more information.

    Yard Sale Coordinator: Lead the overall event. Coordinate logistics and volunteers.

    Yard Sale Communications: Develop strategy and create posters and social media announcements.

    Poster/Sign Distribution: Sign production and assembly. Hanging posters and signs throughout the neighborhood.

    Day-of-Event Help: Set up the MCC table at the corner of Lynn/24th (business district). Help direct people.

    Digital Map Creator / Registration Coordinator: Set-up registration and maintain digital map.

  • MCC Liaison: Liaison between event coordinators and MCC.

    Miscellaneous Volunteer Tasks: Determined by Turkey Trot organizers close to the date of event.

  • Contribute Articles: Write articles on topic of choice.

    Layout: Manage layout and publication of Montlake Flyer (twice a year).

    Distribution Map Coordinator: Ensure the current map is correct and make updates as necessary.

    Distribution Coordinator: Work with the board around a distribution plan: dividing neighborhood in sections, organize distribution volunteers, and arrange day/time for pick up.

    Distributors: Pick up copies of Montlake Flyer and deliver them to each household in the area that you are assigned. Deliver copies within time specified. Keep in good communication with the coordinator.

  • Sound Foundations is a local organization that works with an almost entirely volunteer labor force to build many of the tiny homes used in the Tiny Home Villages in King, Snohomish and Pierce County. More details here: https://www.montlake.net/volunteer
